Chez Moi - Bonnifont - 2015   A record of what happens.

4 Jan - Start the New Year off with a puncture! 13 Jan- A little maintenance on the Warp Engine of my little spaceship in the study because it would not fly the loop. Does now. 18 Jan - Another of one those things I've been dying to do since before we moved in.
Drill a hole through the kitchen/workshop wall feed the pipe through and Hey Presto! An extra base unit for Jen Whilst the bottle sits neatly behind the wood boiler in the workshop.
26 Jan - Well, we've been putting it off for several years now, but the time has come for the Christmas Clock to be retired. NOT HAPPY :-( 31 Jan - It's always annoyed me that we have different coloured lighting under the kitchen units. Having seen Gerry's LED's I found some RGB ones on Ebay.  So, empty the cupboards so I can get them off of the wall and fit the cables.  Same with the Hob extractor hood
and the rest of the wall units. Mikey's home made 90 degree bend for the corner unit.  Thank goodness for hot glue guns. Bit of wiring above the wall units and all done.
The LED's come with a remote controller.  The white light is very good but you can have some fun with the remote. Curry night/romantic evening Red? Aperitif Blue? Veggie night Green?  Consistent light levels and 30 watts to run instead of the previous 100 watts.
Self adhesive waterproof RGB LED Strips - fantastic! You can select various fading/flashing options and they do a remote you can feed music to!!! 1 Feb - A hail downpour Didn't last for long though. 3 Feb - Pellet burner mod. The burner was only supported by 1 bolt at the top
causing it to skew and allowing combustion gases into the workshop I will add another stud at the bottom....some when! 4 Feb - First snow. Just a dribble and soon gone. 5 Feb - A bit more snow but still gone by the end of the day.
7 Feb - Brown grouting on the worktop always makes it look....well, dirty! We've been dilly-dallying over this for years but today we decided. Jen found some really good grout whitening on the web so.... after deciding we needed to steam clean it all first
Jen took up the challenge of re-colouring all the grout. It looks much better although it will take a while to complete.  Looks good with the new lighting. 8 Feb - While Jen continues the grouting job I move on to another of my pet "wants", Wood stove heat exchanger. Did a trial bending using co-ax cable first.  Then filled 5 metres of 10mm tube with salt
using various methods! Then outside where I could wave a 5m length of tube around to bend up two coils.  Then I had to get the salt out. Two cross bars and a heat reflecting shield holds one coil on the back of the stove.  More to follow!
10 Feb - South westerly wind blows straight into the WC vent outlet - a new shuttered outlet fixed that. 11 Feb - Another thing we've been toying with for years.  Should we have a tablecloth on the kitchen table? Yes, we should. 12 Feb - A job left over from the street lights, bury and protect the feed cable.
